Movies with a Thanksgiving theme are in demand in November, Hollywood hasn’t produced many, there are yet some that the entire family can enjoy. You could find these movies online or rent from DVD store for your family Thanksgiving in advance. (Tips: you can download movies free from website.

1. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
This one is the best of the best. If you have ever seen it, you’ll never forget it: A man must struggle to travel home for Thanksgiving, with an obnoxious slob of a shower ring salesman his only companion. This movie is the best Thanksgiving ever made. It’s funny and a must see.

2. Sword of The Valiant
This movie used to be a holiday tradition, but you don’t really see it that often any more. Go find a copy and watch it on Thanksgiving.

3. A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
It is simply a must see for children on Thanksgiving. It was originally made for television in 1973, but it is still shown in many areas around the country and is also available on DVD. The story beautifully captures the true meaning of Thanksgiving and does so with humor, warmth, and sincerity.

4. Last of the Mohicans
There are a lot of Native American movies out there, but this is one of the best. The film is a stunningly gorgeous experience that almost achieves the spectacle of a living portrait and offers an incredible tour through the untouched wilderness of colonial America.

5. A Fantastic Mr. Fox

It’s a fun and awesome movie for the family, especially for kids, although it’s rated PG. To enjoy this movie, you must leave your prejudices at the door. This is a movie based on a Dahl book, not a slave to it. It is witty, mildly dark, and redeeming. It shows what happens when one character’s self absorption adversely affects everyone around him. It has themes that are serious and recognizable to many, but it maintains a tongue-in-cheek attitude. It is unique.

This list is purely subjective, but each movie has a Thanksgiving theme or setting, and all are suitable for family viewing, so why not rent or even buy one or more for your holiday viewing pleasure?
