Five Apps to Watch Live 2011 NFL on iPad or iPhone

Are you ready for some footbal? There are tons of apps out there for you to keep up with the National Football League news, schedules and standings; or to do your Fantasy Football homework. You can choose NFL ’11, NBC Sports Mobile, ESPN ScoreCenter, Yahoo! Spectacular or other apps for their scores and news. However, if you want to watch Live NFL game, the options are limited. Here are five apps you can use to watch live 2011 NFL on your iPad or iPhone.

NFL Sunday Ticket (Subscribers Only)
If you have Direct TV, you can get live games and highlights streamed straightly to your iPhone via WiFi or 3G. There is a separate iPad version of this app available for free. To use it, you should either be a DirectTV subscriber ($50 for mobile access), or a subscriber to NFL Sunday Ticket To Go service for non-DirectTV subscribers ($350/year). And the service is only available to US residents only.

NFL GamePass Mobile
NFL GamePass Mobile enables you to watch every NFL game, live or on-demand, and NFL RedZone on your iPhone or ipad. Other than that, it offers some other features like Live Scores and Stats, game-specific chat and more. The subscription fee is $24.99 weekly, $79.99 monthly and $139.98 season. Team subscription is also available for $99, which offers access to all their games Live online with enhanced viewing features.

NFL Mobile (Only for Verizon)
If you are a Verizon Wireless user, I envy you. NFL Mobile gives you 24/7 access to live game videos, live game audio, news, highlights, NFL RedZone and more! However, though the app is free, customers without an unlimited data plan will be charged when downloading and using NFL Mobile.

SlingPlayer Mobile
For this app to work you’ll need Slingbox, which you can find at some Best Buy stores. SlingPlayer Mobile lets access your Slingbox attached to your TV. SlingPlayer Mobile lets you watch anything that is coming out of your TV, or is recorded on your DVR. With it, you can keep up with your favorite NFL teams anytime, anywhere on your mobile device.
There are up to 2,500 live channels in and you can search NFL in sports channel. requires iOS 4.0 or higher on iPhone 4, iPod Touch (4G )or iPhone 3GS. So if you are using iPhone 4S or iPad, you can’t use this now. app cost $4.99 but compare with other subscription fee. It’s super cheap. However, not all users successfully watch NFL on it, so good luck if it works for you.
